Starting next week, repairs will take place on Flushes Bridge, affecting a layby but not the A77 traffic flow

Girvan: Amey, working for Transport Scotland, is kicking off some repairs on Flushes Bridge next Monday. They’ll be fixing up the parapets, which is good news for safety.
Now, the layby on the southbound side will be closed, but don’t worry, traffic on the A77 should keep moving without any hiccups.
This work is expected to last about three weeks, wrapping up by January 31. They’ll be working around the clock, so you might notice some activity at all hours.
These repairs are coming right after some essential checks on Glendoune Street and Dalrymple Street, which will finish up on January 11.
If all goes well with South Ayrshire Council, they might also use some space in the nearby car park on Bridge Street for the repairs.
An Amey spokesperson mentioned that emergency vehicles will still have access during the work. They also reminded everyone that the schedule could change if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
In the end, this project aims to make the road safer and better for all the drivers who use it daily, which is definitely a win for everyone!
