Jacksonville: The Jaguars finally got their act together with their first touchdown of the season. It took a bit, but they nailed it on their opening drive.
Quarterback Mac Jones connected with Brian Thomas for a quick three-yard touchdown. That drive was impressive, going 70 yards in 13 plays, and now they’re leading 7-0 against the Jets.
Thomas was on fire, catching three passes during that drive. He even set a franchise record for rookie receiving yards. Jones had a solid outing, completing 6 of 8 passes for 33 yards.
Things looked dicey for the Jets when Will McDonald sacked Jones on third down. But then, cornerback Sauce Gardner got called for holding in the end zone, keeping the Jaguars’ drive alive.
