Banbury: Can you believe it? Thieves made off with 13 portable toilets from a depot in Oxfordshire! The company, AndyLoos, is now £12,000 out of pocket.
Amy Philpot, the general manager, said the break-in happened overnight between January 8 and 9. They think three vehicles were involved, with one acting as a lookout. Talk about organized crime!
CCTV footage shows two people loading up 12 Polyportables and one Five Peaks toilet. They even took the soap and sanitizer dispensers. It’s wild how bold these thieves were.
Amy mentioned on BBC Radio Oxford that these weren’t just random crooks. They knew exactly what they were after. It’s a risk in their line of work, but a break-in like this is pretty rare.
AndyLoos, based in Kidderminster, said this incident is a huge hassle for them. They have insurance, but it’s still a big hit. Amy expressed how hard they’ve worked over the years to build their fleet.
They posted on Facebook asking for help. If anyone saw anything suspicious or has dash cam footage, they want to hear from you! One of their drivers even spotted a toilet on a dodgy truck heading south on the M40.
Thames Valley Police are on the case, urging anyone with info to reach out. They reported the burglary on January 9, and it’s clear they want to catch these toilet thieves!
