Brave Bystanders Detain Suspect After Knife Attack in Dover

A woman was arrested for attempted murder after a knife attack in Dover, thanks to the quick actions of nearby pub security staff

Dover: A shocking incident unfolded when a 47-year-old woman was arrested for attempted murder after a knife attack on another woman in her 50s. This all went down on Biggin Street around 10:10 PM on a Friday night.

The victim was just walking along when the attack happened. Thankfully, some quick-thinking security staff from a nearby pub jumped in to help. They managed to disarm the suspect and hold her until the police arrived.

Kent Police reported that the victim was treated for injuries to her back but was later discharged from the hospital. The suspect, who didn’t know the victim, was taken into custody for questioning.

Detective Chief Inspector Bev Morrison called the incident horrific but noted that the victim thankfully didn’t suffer serious harm. She praised the brave actions of those who intervened, saying they put themselves at risk without a second thought.
