Erdington: It all kicked off when folks in Birmingham spotted two guys with weapons. This happened on Summer Road around 6:30 PM on Sunday, January 12. People were understandably worried and called the police.

The Project Guardian team, which focuses on youth violence and knife crime, jumped into action. They teamed up with local officers and noticed a teen acting a bit shady on Gravelly Lane. This 15-year-old tried to bolt but ended up running into a pub to hide.

They shared the chase on social media, saying they were responding to reports of the boys with knives and bats. They caught the kid who tried to take cover in the pub and found a combat knife tossed under a car. Talk about a busy Sunday!

A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed they got the call at 6:40 PM about someone with a knife. Officers spotted the teen acting suspiciously and chased him down. They found a knife nearby and arrested him for possession. He’s still in custody for questioning.
