Wigan: A heartbreaking incident occurred when a two-year-old boy named Carter Walsh died after a TV fell on him. He was just having fun dancing to Cocomelon at home when the tragedy struck.
The TV, which weighed around 25 to 30 kg, was sitting on a marble fireplace that wasn’t secured to the wall. It all happened so quickly. Carter was knocked out and went into cardiac arrest.
Emergency services rushed him to the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, but sadly, they couldn’t save him. He was pronounced dead later that day. Detective Inspector Stuart Woodhead mentioned that Carter might have reached for the mantelpiece, leading to the accident.
It’s just so tragic. The coroner, Peter Sigee, concluded it was an accident and expressed his condolences to the family. No one should have to go through something like this.
