Woolwich: A boy named Kelyan was fatally stabbed on a bus in Woolwich Church Road just before 2:30 PM yesterday. It’s such a tragic situation.
St Columba’s school, where he briefly attended in 2022, expressed their sorrow over his loss. They mentioned how heartbroken they are for his family and friends.
The school said they’ll be there to support any students affected by this awful violence. It’s just so sad to see young lives cut short.
Kelyan, who was also known as the online rapper “Grippa,” was attacked on the 472 bus. Emergency services tried to help him, but he sadly passed away shortly after they arrived.
Just before his death, he had released a music video called Bangers N Mash on Christmas Day. It’s heartbreaking to think about what could have been.
Friends have been sharing tributes online, calling him “taken too soon” and “gone but never forgotten.” One friend wrote, “Life is no joke. Once you are gone, you’re gone. RIP.”
Deputy Commander Louise Sargent described the stabbing as a “horrendous crime” and reassured everyone that the police are working hard to find those responsible.
She acknowledged how concerning this is for the Woolwich community, especially given the victim’s young age. It’s a tough time for everyone.
This incident follows another stabbing nearby, where an 18-year-old was critically injured. Thankfully, police confirmed that the two stabbings are not connected.
If anyone has information about the bus stabbing, they’re encouraged to reach out to the police or Crimestoppers. Every bit of information helps.
