Milwaukee: A tragic incident unfolded over the weekend when a man was shot and killed, and a 12-year-old boy was taken into custody.

It all happened at a home near 51st and Locust streets around 2:15 p.m. on December 14. The police were quick to respond.

The man, whose name hasn’t been released yet, was taken to the hospital but sadly didn’t make it. It’s reported that the shooting was sparked by an argument between him and the boy.

Authorities are still looking into the details, and it’s not clear exactly where inside the house the shooting took place.

As for the boy, he hasn’t been named either, and it’s uncertain if he’ll face any charges.

Neighbors were left in shock. One local, Helen, expressed her sadness, saying it’s a quiet neighborhood and this kind of violence is heartbreaking.

She added, “It’s sad. America is a sad, pathetic place, you know that. It’s full of anger.”

According to police stats, Milwaukee has seen 126 homicides this year, a slight decrease from 163 during the same period last year.
