Bournemouth: A 27-year-old man named Kelvin Thompson was jailed recently. He got 57 months in prison after pleading guilty to serious charges.

Thompson faced two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He also had charges for assault causing actual bodily harm and resisting arrest.

On September 3, police officers noticed Thompson acting suspiciously at Preston Park railway station in Brighton. They approached him, but he was evasive and continued to act strangely.

The officers had enough reason to search him, so they detained him. They found three mobile phones on him, one of which he claimed belonged to a friend.

Officers also felt a package hidden under his clothes. When they mentioned it, Thompson tried to escape, managing to get one hand free while still in handcuffs.

He struggled with the officers, kicking one in the groin and biting another. Eventually, they regained control and took him into custody.

During a second search, officers found two packages containing crack cocaine and heroin worth about £1500. This led to his sentencing at Hove Crown Court on January 30.

DC Chris May, the investigating officer, stated that Thompson’s behavior was unacceptable. He emphasized that attacks on police will not be tolerated.

May also mentioned that their County Lines Taskforce is trained to spot suspicious behavior. They are committed to bringing drug traffickers to justice.
