Bootle: It’s such a heartbreaking situation. A nursery in Bootle has finally spoken up after a two-year-old boy sadly passed away due to what they’re calling a medical emergency. They shared the news on social media, expressing their deep sadness and announcing they’d be closing for the rest of the week.
This closure comes as the police have started looking into what happened. They rushed to the Early Learners Day Nursery around 12:35 PM on Tuesday, and the little boy was taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.
The police are on the case, making sure the boy’s family gets the support they need during this incredibly tough time.
The nursery, which had a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted last year, posted a heartfelt message online. They said, “Dear parents and carers, as you are aware, this afternoon a medical emergency occurred at the nursery. It is with devastating sadness that we have to inform you of a child’s passing.”
They decided to close for the week to help everyone process what happened and to work with the relevant agencies. They promised to keep everyone updated as they navigate this difficult time, sending their thoughts and prayers to the family.
According to the Liverpool Echo, a note was sent to parents that echoed the online message. Meanwhile, Merseyside Police confirmed they’re investigating the incident, treating it as unexplained for now.
The incident was reported around 12:35 PM on Tuesday, January 14, at the nursery on Hawthorne Road. It’s just so tragic, and everyone is hoping for answers soon.
