Arun Gawli, Nagpur, Mumbai, Maharashtra, Murder Case

Nagpur: So, the Bombay High Court just gave Arun Gawli a 28-day furlough. He’s been serving a life sentence for a murder he committed back in 2007. The court decided to let him out after he filed a petition.

His lawyer had to step in because the prison authorities had turned down his earlier request. They were worried that letting him out might stir up trouble. But Gawli’s lawyer argued that he didn’t cause any issues during his previous furloughs.

Plus, Gawli pointed out that the Maharashtra assembly elections were already done, so there shouldn’t be any worries on that front. The court listened to his side and agreed to his release, but they did set some conditions.

Gawli isn’t just a gangster; he’s also a politician. He used to be an MLA in Mumbai and is known for his roots in Dagdi Chawl. He was convicted for the murder of a Shiv Sena corporator, Kamlakar Jamsandekar, and got a life sentence back in 2012.
