Denver: The Broncos are on fire tonight! They’ve been moving the ball like it’s nobody’s business. Bo Nix just threw his second touchdown, this time to Devaughn Vele, making it 21-10 in the second quarter.
With over six minutes left in the quarter, the Broncos have racked up 219 yards. They’re averaging a solid 7.8 yards per play and have nailed all their third downs so far.
On their last drive, the Chargers had a chance to stop them on third-and-11, but Javonte Williams made a nice play to keep the drive alive. Then, Nix connected with Marvin Mims for a huge 54-yard gain, putting them right at the 6-yard line.
Even though Nix’s next pass slipped through Williams’ hands for what could’ve been another touchdown, he quickly made up for it. He rolled out and found Vele wide open in the end zone.
There was a bit of drama with a flag for an ineligible receiver, but the refs picked it up. It was a close call, but they let it go. Meanwhile, the Chargers managed to score a field goal earlier, but they missed a chance to get a touchdown in the red zone.
