In Blitz, set during World War II, Heffernan plays George, a nine-year-old sent away for safety. But he jumps off the train to find his family. It’s a touching story about love and bravery.
Heffernan has received tons of praise for his performance. He was surprised by how well people responded to his work. He said it was a big change from what he was used to.
He had a great support system on set, especially from Saoirse Ronan. She was like a big sister to him, guiding him through everything. Heffernan appreciated her help since she started acting young too.
