The campaign, called ‘Ghar Chalo Abhiyan,’ is all about grassroots engagement. They want to reach out to people right at their homes. State BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule mentioned that they kicked off the first phase of this drive on January 1, focusing on connecting with voters at the booth level.
In this next phase, BJP workers will visit around 40 to 50 homes in each of Maharashtra’s 1 lakh polling booths. It’s a big task, but they’re determined to make it happen. Bawankule believes this will significantly boost their membership numbers.
BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, are actively involved in this initiative. They’re visiting homes to create awareness and encourage people to join the party. The goal is to build a strong connection with the public and show their commitment to expanding their reach.
Bawankule is optimistic about the campaign’s success. He’s confident that they’ll hit their target of 1.5 crore new members. Meanwhile, there’s some political drama brewing with comments made by BJP MLA Suresh Dhas regarding a murder case linked to the Nationalist Congress Party. Bawankule is urging Dhas to provide more information to the Chief Minister about the situation. It’s a busy time for the BJP in Maharashtra!
