Stoke-on-Trent: A bin man is standing up for himself after some locals complained about missed rubbish collections. He shared a video showing him trying to maneuver a big 26-tonne truck up a snowy hill in Weston Coyney.

The footage shows how tough it was, with the truck struggling to get up the slippery road. After a while, the wheels just couldn’t grip, and the lorry slid back down. He explained that while they always aim to collect bins, sometimes the weather makes it impossible.

On Facebook, he wrote about the challenges of driving a massive bin lorry in such conditions. He pointed out that not every road gets gritted, especially in housing estates. He said, “You should try driving this thing in the snow!”

His post came after 55 streets missed collections, with another 125 affected the day before. Many people chimed in to support him, saying they appreciated the hard work of the bin men. One person noted how tough it is to navigate parked cars in bad weather.

However, not everyone was understanding. Some residents were still frustrated about their overflowing bins and wanted them emptied right away. It’s clear that while some folks get it, others just want their rubbish taken out, no matter the weather.
