Suva: So, there was this scary incident in Fiji where seven tourists ended up in the hospital after drinking cocktails. Four of them were Australians, and it had everyone worried.
But here’s the good news! Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister, Viliame Gavoka, said that the tests on the drinks showed no methanol or any illegal stuff. That’s a huge relief!
He mentioned that the quick medical help really made a difference for those visitors. It’s great to hear they got the care they needed right away.
While they still don’t know what caused the poisoning, Mr. Gavoka is set to hold a press conference later today to share more details. Fingers crossed for some answers!
This all went down at the Warwick Resort, where the tourists got sick after enjoying some piña coladas. What a bummer for their vacation!
Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more about this situation.
