Newcastle: BGF is investing £130 million in Northern England this year. This investment includes new deals and follow-on funding. The goal is to help businesses grow across various sectors.
In Yorkshire and the North East, BGF has supported companies like TaperedPlus and Tevalis. They also backed My Property Box, Boxphish, and ITC. Additionally, they provided follow-on funding for ReciteMe and RSK.
Barry Jackson, a regional partner at BGF, shared that it’s exciting to see so many deals in the North. He noted the focus on technology, highlighting the North’s role in the UK’s tech industry.
In the North West, BGF has invested in Elite Dynamics and Eleven Sports Media. They also supported KOMI Group to help with its international growth and strategic plans.
Jackson believes that despite economic challenges, strong businesses will continue to thrive. He looks forward to supporting more Northern companies aiming to scale.
BGF has had a successful 2024, reaching £4 billion in investments since 2011. They also partnered with other investors to support female entrepreneurs, committing £25 million to the Invest in Women Taskforce.
Since its launch, BGF has invested in over 500 companies across various sectors, including technology and healthcare.
