A professor at Bergen Community College faces serious charges after allegedly kissing and groping a female student, according to the sheriff’s office
Bergen County, New Jersey, Zameer Baksh, Bergen Community College, Sexual Assault
Bergen County: So, there’s this professor named Zameer Baksh at Bergen Community College who’s in some hot water. He’s been suspended and is facing criminal charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a student. This all came to light in a statement from the authorities on Saturday.
Apparently, on December 11, he kissed a female student on the cheek and made some really inappropriate comments. Not cool, right? But it gets worse. The sheriff’s office said he then went on to grab and touch her inappropriately.
Now, he hasn’t been booked into jail yet, but he’s looking at charges for “criminal sexual contact” and “harassment-offensive touching.” That’s pretty serious stuff. As of Saturday evening, there wasn’t any info on his attorney, and he couldn’t be reached through his LinkedIn. The college also didn’t respond to calls for comments.
It’s a tough situation, and it’s really important that these kinds of allegations are taken seriously. Let’s hope for a fair process for everyone involved.
