Shipston: So, here’s the scoop. Ben Noden, a 38-year-old guy from Church Street, showed up at Redditch Magistrates’ Court today. He was facing some serious charges—stealing from his boss and committing fraud.
Apparently, he’s accused of swiping a whopping £198,387.15 from his employer, Peter Round. That’s a lot of cash! He also forged a signature to get his hands on the money, which is just low.
Ben didn’t have a lawyer with him, but he still pleaded guilty to both charges. The judge decided to get a pre-sentence report done before they figure out what to do next.
This whole thing has been dragging on for a while. Noden first popped up in court back in August, and there have been multiple delays since then. It’s been a bit of a mess, honestly.
There was even a time in December when he was supposed to admit or deny the charges, but they had to push it back because of some legal aid issues. Talk about frustrating!
He first appeared before Judge Martin Jackson in August, and the judge had to give him some extra time to sort out his paperwork, like bank statements. It’s been a real rollercoaster.
After a few more rescheduled hearings, they finally got to the point where he pleaded guilty today. Now, he’s set to be sentenced on February 13. We’ll have to see what happens then!
