Bristol: Isn’t this city just amazing? Every year, the Bristol Light Festival brings a stunning display of lights. But wait, there’s more! This Saturday, the Bedminster Winter Lantern Parade is set to light up North Street.

On what’s likely to be a chilly January night, folks in BS3 will brighten up the area with hundreds of handmade lanterns. We’re talking about everyone joining in, from little kids to grandparents, and even the Bristol Samba band will be there to keep the vibe festive.

For months, local artists have teamed up with schools and community groups to create these unique lanterns, all centered around the theme ‘Bristol Together.’ They’ve even been raising funds to keep the “Bemmy Lanterns” tradition alive.

The parade kicks off at St Francis’ Church/Tobacco Factory on North Street at 5 PM. It’ll wind its way down North Street, turn onto East Street, and end at the other side. Expect live music and street entertainment along the way, so it’s a good idea to arrive a bit early to soak it all in!
