Chicago: So, the Bears are on the hunt for a new head coach. They’ve put in requests to chat with Brian Flores, who’s currently the Vikings’ defensive coordinator, and Arthur Smith, the Steelers’ offensive coordinator.
These two are joining a pretty long list of candidates. The Bears are also eyeing guys like Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson from the Lions, Mike Kafka from the Giants, and a few others. It’s a busy time for them!
Just a little while ago, the Bears let go of Matt Eberflus after a rough start to the season. He had a tough run, finishing with a 14-32 record over his time in Chicago.
Interestingly, the Jets are also interested in Flores and Smith. It seems like they’re both hot commodities right now.
Flores has had a bit of a rollercoaster career. He was the Dolphins’ head coach for three seasons and even took legal action against the league for discrimination. After that, he moved on to coach linebackers for the Steelers and then joined the Vikings this year.
As for Smith, he was the Falcons’ head coach for a couple of years but didn’t have the best record there either. Now, he’s gearing up for a wild-card game with the Steelers this week.
It’s definitely an exciting time in the NFL with all these coaching changes happening!
