London: So, the new season of The Traitors kicked off, and wow, what a start! Fans were buzzing, but then things took a wild turn right off the bat.

It all began at 8pm on New Year’s Day. Twenty-five contestants were ready to roll, aiming for the grand Ardross Castle. But before they even got there, the drama unfolded.

Just minutes in, the train they were on suddenly stopped and reversed. Claudia Winkleman’s voice came over the speakers, and she dropped a bombshell: three contestants were out before the game even started!

Fozia, a 50-year-old outreach manager, was the first to go. Claudia announced, “I’m gifting you £10,000 right now to start your prize pot,” but then she hit them with the twist. Only 22 could stay in the game.

They had to decide who would leave, and they had just 10 minutes to do it. If they didn’t, they’d lose £1,000 for every minute they took. Talk about pressure!

Tyler, a 29-year-old barber, was visibly shaken and couldn’t hold back his tears. It was intense! Fozia stepped up first, saying, “You all owe me big time because this is a big sacrifice.”

Then Jack, a 24-year-old landscaper, and Alexander, a 38-year-old former diplomat, also decided to leave. It was a tough call for everyone involved.

Fans are left wondering if these early exits will pop back up later in the series, but usually, once you’re out, you’re out. The unpredictability is what keeps everyone hooked!

Don’t miss the next episode tomorrow night at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer!
