London: The latest episode of The One Show had a funny twist. Presenters Alex Jones and Lauren Laverne were called out by guest Claes Bang. He was there to promote the new film, William Tell.
Claes, along with his co-stars Jonah Hauer-King and Ellie Bamber, was excited to chat about their movie. But before they could dive in, a clip aired to give viewers some background on William Tell.
When the camera switched back, Claes looked a bit annoyed. He said, “Now people don’t need to go and see the movie. It’s really a problem.”
Lauren tried to calm him down, saying, “There’s no spoilers in that, it’s mainly a primer, Claes. Don’t panic!” But Claes wasn’t convinced, insisting they gave too much away. Alex jumped in, saying, “The movie is so much more!” That seemed to help.
After that little hiccup, the interview went smoothly. But it wasn’t the only funny moment of the night. Later, singer Paloma Faith joined the show to chat about her podcast, Mad, Sad and Bad.
Paloma had the hosts laughing with her stories. But as they were wrapping up, Lauren made a mistake about the podcast’s release date. She said it was coming out on the 20th, but Paloma quickly corrected her, saying, “28th.”
Paloma then joked, “Sorry, everyone. It’s 28th before we all get in trouble!” Lauren wrapped it up, saying, “That’s all we got time for tonight. Thank you to our guests!”
The One Show airs weekdays on BBC One at 7pm.
