London: EastEnders fans were in for a surprise when they spotted a familiar face from Albert Square in a totally different light.

Aaron Sidwell, known for playing the troubled Steven Beale from 2007 to 2017, has left viewers stunned. Many fans consider him the ultimate Steven, even though he was the fourth actor to take on the role.

Fans browsing Amazon Prime Video were shocked to see Aaron in the crime thriller Fyre Rises. He plays Priest, a character who has a knack for pushing others into committing violent acts.

His transformation is jaw-dropping, with bold makeup, slicked-back hair, and leopard print outfits that would make Pat Butcher proud.

Social media is buzzing with excitement over Aaron’s performance. One fan raved on Instagram, saying, “He is incredible,” while another added, “Such a good baddie.”

Another viewer chimed in, saying, “Couldn’t imagine anyone else doing this role; he is fantastic.”

Fans of the soap will be thrilled to know that Aaron is also performing in London’s West End, starring in a revival of the classic musical Oliver!

The show is running at the Gielgud Theatre until September, brought to life by director Matthew Bourne in a production that revives Lionel Bart’s unforgettable music.

In an interview with BroadwayWorld, Aaron talked about his love for theatre, where he really developed his skills. He mentioned feeling out of place when he first started on TV but found his footing in theatre.

Now, he’s taking on the challenging role of Bill Sykes in Oliver!, a character famously portrayed by Oliver Reed in the 1968 film.

Aaron admitted that stepping into such a well-known role can be daunting. He said, “When you say Bill Sikes, people think of Oliver Reed.”

He acknowledged the challenge of reinventing a character that many have a specific vision of but is excited to bring his own interpretation to the role.

Don’t miss the new release ‘Fyre Rises’, now streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Sky Store.
