Basingstoke Faces Train Cancellations Due to Electrical Supply Issues
Electrical supply problems have led to significant train cancellations in Basingstoke, affecting many travelers today.

Basingstoke: So, it looks like there’s a bit of a mess with the trains today. South Western Railway (SWR) has warned folks not to travel between Woking, Basingstoke, and Southampton. They’re saying all the mainline routes are going to be disrupted.
Apparently, there are some electrical supply problems between the stations, and it’s expected to last until the end of the day. Not great news for anyone trying to get around.
If you’re hoping to catch a train, SWR mentioned that diesel services between London Waterloo and Exeter via Salisbury are still running, but they might be super crowded. You might not even be able to hop on at Basingstoke.
