Basingstoke: So, there’s been a bunch of planning applications submitted to the council recently, all wrapped up by January 6. It’s pretty interesting stuff if you’re into local developments.

One application is for a four-bedroom house with a basement and a cool roof terrace on Manor Road in Sherborne St John. Sounds fancy, right?

Then there’s a couple of extensions going up on Boon Way in Oakley. One’s a two-storey side extension, and the other is a single-storey rear extension. They’re really making the most of their space!

Over on Woodgarston Drive, someone’s looking to extend their front bay window down to the ground. It’ll be a walk-in bay window, which is a neat idea.

In Basingstoke, there’s also a garage conversion application on Maw Close. They’re trying to get that certified as lawful, which is always a good move.

Whitchurch is getting some solar love too, with plans for freestanding solar panels and a timber shed for the inverter equipment. Green energy is the way to go!

And if you’re in Whitchurch, there’s another application to convert a garage into a home office. Perfect for those working from home!

In Ecchinswell, they’re looking at some ground and first-floor extensions at Brick Kiln Cottage. It’s all about making homes more comfortable.

Lastly, there’s a farm manager’s dwelling planned at Pitt Hall Farm in Hannington. It’s tied to agriculture, so it’s nice to see support for local farming.

Oh, and there’s a variation request for some design changes at Dartan House on Ashford Hill Road. They’re tweaking a few things to meet water efficiency standards. Smart thinking!
