Warrington: The Barratt Foundation has given £300,000 to OnSide charity. This funding will help OnSide reach more young people in the UK.

OnSide builds Youth Zones in areas that need support. These centres help young people lead positive lives.

Skilled youth workers run the Youth Zones. They provide a safe space for young people to grow and thrive.

Currently, OnSide operates 15 Youth Zones and plans to open seven more by 2026. This makes them the largest youth work provider in the UK.

The Barratt Foundation’s donation is crucial for maintaining these Youth Zones. It will help thousands of young people access support and opportunities.

Jamie Masraff, OnSide’s CEO, expressed gratitude for the Barratt Foundation’s support. He believes it will transform the lives of many young people.

In 2024, OnSide reached over 50,000 young people, with many from deprived areas. They also provided over 120,000 affordable meals to combat food poverty.

As youth centres in England decline, OnSide’s services are more important than ever. They address issues like social isolation and youth unemployment.

Andy Button-Stephens from the Barratt Foundation noted the challenges young people face today. He believes their contribution will make a real difference.
