The investigation into Baba Siddique’s murder leaves many unanswered questions about the motive and suspects involved

Mumbai: So, the whole thing with Baba Siddique’s murder is pretty wild. The police filed a chargesheet, but honestly, it just raises more questions than it answers. Baba, who was 66 and a well-known politician, got shot outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra on October 12.
They’ve arrested a bunch of suspects, but the real reason behind the murder is still a mystery. Most of those arrested are small-time criminals linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. It seems like someone powerful put out a hit on Baba, and given his status, the contract must have been pretty hefty.
Now, the police think Baba was targeted because he was close to Salman Khan. Apparently, the Bishnoi gang has it out for Salman over some blackbuck hunting incident. But if that’s the case, why just Baba? There are plenty of others in Bollywood and politics who are also tight with Salman.
After the murder, Zeeshan rushed to the police and named some builders he thought might be involved. Baba was against certain big projects that were ignoring the needs of slum-dwellers. It’s strange that the police haven’t even questioned these builders yet, especially since they usually follow up on such leads.
There’s also this big builder who’s close to Dawood Ibrahim and is working on a major project. He even travels to Pakistan to meet with him. You’d think the police would want to talk to him, right?
And what about Lawrence Bishnoi? He’s in jail but hasn’t been questioned about this murder. The police even asked the home ministry for permission to bring him in for questioning, but they haven’t heard back. It just adds to the whole mystery.
They’re saying Lawrence’s brother Anmol might be involved, but it’s hard to believe he’d take on such a big job without Lawrence knowing. Activist Aftab Siddique even said that the truth about Baba’s murder might never come out as long as the current government is in power.
