New York: Best-selling author Neil Gaiman is facing serious allegations from eight women who claim he engaged in sexual misconduct. Gaiman, 64, has denied all accusations, stating he has never participated in non-consensual sexual activity.

In a blog post, he expressed his horror and dismay upon reading the allegations. He emphasized that he has always tried to maintain his privacy and felt social media wasn’t the right platform for such serious matters.

Gaiman mentioned that while he recognizes some moments described in the allegations, he also sees many things that simply didn’t happen. He admitted to being careless with people’s feelings and acknowledged that he could have done better.

One of the more shocking claims involves a woman who alleged that Gaiman assaulted her while she was babysitting his child. She described an incident where he invited her to take a bath in his garden and then joined her naked.

Gaiman’s representatives have stated that while BDSM practices may not appeal to everyone, they are lawful between consenting adults. A police report was filed against him in January 2023, but the investigation was ultimately dropped.

Since the allegations surfaced, several adaptations of Gaiman’s works, including the third season of Good Omens, have reportedly been impacted.
