Dunkirk: It’s a tough situation over there. At least five people lost their lives in some really tragic shootings near a migrant camp. It’s just heartbreaking.
A 22-year-old guy, who says he’s the shooter, turned himself in at a police station nearby. He did this around 5 PM on Saturday. Can you believe that?
He told the police he shot someone in Wormhout, a town close by, and then went on to take four more lives at the Loon-Plage camp. Just awful.
From what I hear, the victims at the camp included two security guards and two residents. It’s just so sad to think about.
Authorities found three more guns in the guy’s car, which is pretty alarming. It’s not clear yet what drove him to do this.
Wormhout and Loon-Plage are just a short distance from the Channel, and it seems like refugees have been living in that area for years. Many of them are Kurdish or Afghan families with little kids.
