Leicester: Maki & Ramen might open a new branch in the city center. They submitted plans to turn an empty unit in Highcross shopping centre into a restaurant.
The restaurant will take over the old TM Lewin store. This unit has been empty since late 2020 when the clothing retailer closed down.
Maki & Ramen serves Japanese food like ramen, sushi, and vegan dishes. They started in 2015 and have opened many locations across the UK.
Documents show they applied for a premises license at Unit R22 Highcross. If approved, they can serve alcohol from 11am to 10pm every day.
People can comment on the license application until February 18. Comments can be sent to the Licensing Officer at City Hall or via email.
