Santa Fe: Can you believe 2024 is almost here? Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope you all had a great time with family and friends. The end of the year always brings a fresh sense of hope and new resolutions. It’s a perfect time to look around and see what’s out there.

Recently, I caught up with my friend Steffany Hollingsworth, an interior designer, over some drinks. We chatted about our shared love for design and how we all love to explore what’s available. Platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, and HGTV are our go-tos for inspiration.

Steffany put it perfectly: we can easily lose hours scrolling through beautiful images, searching for that spark of inspiration. It’s amazing how these platforms open up a world of options we didn’t even know existed. I often find myself jotting down ideas at 2 a.m. after getting lost in those rabbit holes!

But, let’s be real. After all that scrolling, you might hit a wall and think, “Now what?” It’s thrilling to find that perfect space, but as designers, we love it even more when clients can express their style and needs. So, save those posts and share them with us!

However, it’s also time for a reality check. Before diving into a project, ask yourself if that dreamy look fits your lifestyle. Is your budget realistic? These are crucial questions to consider before making any big changes.

Now, onto execution. Where do you start? Even seasoned designers like us drool over those stunning spaces online. But remember, those images are often curated and styled by professionals. They don’t show the everyday messes we all have!

DIY is totally doable, but it takes some thought and commitment. Instead of trying to copy what you see, embrace your unique style. Working with a designer can help you achieve those results more smoothly. And hey, now’s a great time to chat with your designer about your spring and summer plans!

So, I hope our chat gives you some fresh ideas on using these platforms. Here’s to a happy and fulfilling New Year!
