London: Mikel Arteta is feeling pretty good about Kai Havertz’s chances of being fit for the Brighton game this Saturday. Havertz was one of several players who caught a nasty sickness bug before the match against Brentford on New Year’s Day.

He had to sit that one out completely, but Arsenal still managed to pull off a solid 3-1 win. Arteta mentioned that he thinks Havertz will be back in action soon, saying, “I think so, yeah.”

He explained that Havertz was really unwell and had clear symptoms, so it was best to send him home to recover. Arteta noted that this time of year is always tricky with all sorts of bugs going around, so he’s trying to keep the lineup flexible.

Despite the sickness bug, Arsenal didn’t let it throw them off too much. They came back strong against Brentford, even after going down 1-0 early on. Gabriel Jesus equalized before halftime, and then Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli scored to secure the win.

Arteta praised his team for their resilience, especially in a tough stadium against a solid opponent. He’s really proud of the squad and believes in their quality and commitment, even when facing challenges like injuries and illness.
