Arrests Made After Horror Shooting in Cheetham Hill Sparks Investigation
Three men were arrested in connection with a shooting in Cheetham Hill, leading to an attempted murder investigation by police

Cheetham Hill: So, there was this crazy shooting last Friday. Three guys got arrested for attempted murder after the police got called about gunfire on Ermington Drive around 1 PM.
The whole area was blocked off by the emergency crews while detectives and forensics checked things out. Thankfully, no one got hurt, but it was pretty intense. The cops were going door-to-door asking questions.
Then, on Sunday night, they nabbed a 23-year-old guy during a raid in Moston. They were also on the lookout for two other suspects and caught them on Monday. All three are still in custody, getting questioned.
One local guy said he saw all the police cars when he looked out around 3 PM. It was right before school let out, and everything was taped off. He heard from a neighbor that they definitely heard gunshots, not fireworks.
Detective Inspector Terina Arthern from GMP said they’re pulling out all the stops to catch the people behind this. They’re serious about tackling gun violence and want to reassure the community that they’re on it.
