Kirkdale: So, here’s the scoop. Two guys were running from the cops in Liverpool. It all went down on Latimer Street. The police were cruising around when they spotted these two, looking a bit shady.

When the officers pulled up, one guy took off on foot, while the other hopped on an e-bike. In the chaos, one of them tossed a rucksack into a garden on Athol Street. Classic move, right?

Eventually, the police caught up with them. One was nabbed on Jennifer Avenue, and the other on Scotland Road. They retrieved the rucksack, and guess what? It was packed with what looked like a bunch of cannabis wraps.

Turns out, a 20-year-old from Liverpool got arrested for having drugs and some other serious charges. His buddy, 22, was also taken in for similar reasons. They’re both in custody now, waiting for some serious questioning.

Chief Inspector Derek Riley praised the officers for their quick thinking. He mentioned how important it is to tackle drug dealers who bring trouble to the community. He’s got a clear message: the police are on it and won’t back down.

Riley also encouraged anyone with info to step up. He gets that it can be scary, but it’s crucial for keeping the streets safe. And if you’re not comfortable talking to the police directly, there’s always Crimestoppers to report things anonymously.
