Sutton Coldfield: So, there was this really scary incident where an armed gang broke into a family’s home and stole their BMW at gunpoint. It all went down early last Tuesday on Bedford Drive, just after 3 AM.
Apparently, at least three guys showed up on e-bikes, broke in, and one of them threatened the family with a weapon. Can you imagine how terrifying that must have been? They took off with the car, and some even fled on motorcycles.
Police got there pretty quickly, but sadly, no arrests have been made yet. The suspects are still out there, which has everyone on edge. Sutton Coldfield’s MP, Andrew Mitchell, heard about it and reached out to the local police chief to discuss the situation.
He mentioned that many residents are really shaken up by this shocking crime. It’s understandable, right? People want to feel safe in their own homes. Mr. Mitchell is pushing for more police presence in the area, especially with concerns about the future of the local police station.
West Midlands Police confirmed they were called around 3:20 AM and found that the car had already been stolen. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the threats made by the armed robber were definitely alarming. They’re looking into CCTV footage to help catch these guys.
If anyone has info, they’re encouraged to reach out to the police. It’s a tough situation, and everyone’s hoping for a quick resolution.
