Armed Burglars Leave Victim with Just £20 After Doorstep Attack
Three armed burglars attacked a victim at his home, stealing only £20 worth of goods

Guildford: A group of burglars attacked a man at his doorstep. They were armed with a knife and demanded money and drugs. The incident happened on February 5 last year.
Casandra Howlett, Melvyn Beech, and Jason Storey traveled to Mytchett. Howlett knocked on the victim’s door, demanding he come out. When he opened the door, Beech punched him and rushed inside with a knife.
The burglars threatened the victim and searched his belongings. They left with just £20 worth of items. The police reported the details of the case.
In court, Beech received an eight-year sentence for aggravated burglary and assault. Storey got seven years for aggravated burglary. Howlett was sentenced to six years for the same charge.
Detective Constable Dan Baldwin said the attack was targeted. He reassured the community that they take such incidents seriously. The police are committed to addressing this type of crime.
