Council Unveils £20 Million Housing Investment for Local Communities

The investment will target popular areas like Broadfield and Bardrainney. It includes demolishing low-demand flats in Park Farm and Gibshill. The plan also involves upgrading remaining council houses and continuing electrical rewiring, kitchen, and bathroom replacements.
Councillor Stephen McCabe welcomed the investment. He emphasized the council’s commitment to improving housing. McCabe noted the completion of the window replacement program allows for new external doors. He expressed excitement about the ongoing partnership with Communities Scotland, which will enhance housing and create jobs.
