Warrington: The council recently got an application for a change of use at 38 Crosfield Street. They wanted to turn it into a six-person house of multiple occupation, or HMO. This includes some internal renovations too.
The place is a two-story mid-terrace house right by Bank Park, close to the town center. Unfortunately, the front yard isn’t big enough for off-road parking, so folks will have to park on the street.
According to the planning documents, they’re looking to put in some internal stud walls and en suites to make the change from a regular house to an HMO. Residents will share a kitchen and lounge, which fits the rules for permitted development.
The layout will have two bedrooms with en suites on the ground floor, plus a kitchen and lounge. The first floor will have three more bedrooms, all with en suites.
The council gave the green light, saying the change meets all the necessary criteria for permitted development. So, it’s all set to go!
