Marc Drostle, Aviemore, Scotland, London, Missing Person
Aviemore: So, there’s this guy named Marc Drostle, 28, who went missing after heading up from London to Aviemore on December 12. It’s been a bit concerning.
He was spotted a few times in the Abernethy National Nature Reserve around Nethy Bridge between December 19 and 21. But since then, it’s been pretty quiet.
The last sighting was in Anagach Woods near Granton on Christmas Eve around 3 PM. That’s just heartbreaking, right?
The police say he’s about 5ft 9in tall, slim, with dark hair, and was likely wearing a black puffer jacket and carrying a blue rucksack.
His family mentioned that he hadn’t been feeling great for a while, which makes this even tougher. They’re really worried about him being out there in the cold.
They hope he’s found somewhere safe to stay, like a barn or something, to keep dry and warm. It’s just so sad to think about.
Marc is described as a kind and funny guy, a talented artist who makes mosaics with his dad back in South East London. He’s always loved the woods and has good memories of Scotland from when he was a kid.
His adventurous spirit means he can walk for miles, but it’s unclear how he’s been managing food for the last couple of weeks. His mom is just heartbroken thinking about him being cold and alone.
They’re super grateful for all the local support and kindness. The police have been working hard to find him, and the family really appreciates their efforts.
They just want Marc home safe and sound. If anyone sees him or has any info, they’re urged to contact Police Scotland at 101 and mention reference 1774 from December 21.
