Minneapolis: So, Anthony Edwards really let loose after the Timberwolves lost to the Warriors. He didn’t hold back, calling the refs “f****** terrible.” He even singled out one female ref as the only decent one. Ouch!
After the game, he was hit with a $75,000 fine for his comments. The league wasn’t playing around with that one. They said it was for “public criticism of the officiating and using inappropriate and profane language.”
But it’s not just the refs that have him frustrated. After another loss to the Knicks, he vented about the team’s offense, saying they have no identity. He’s feeling the pressure, especially since the Timberwolves are struggling to score.
They’re in the bottom 10 for offense in the NBA, and it’s clear something’s off with the team’s chemistry. They’ve been running a lot of isolation plays, but they’re not getting the points they need.
Looking ahead, the Timberwolves will face the Mavericks on Christmas Day. It’ll be Edwards’ first time playing on that big day, so let’s hope he has a better experience with the refs this time around!
