Los Angeles: The Lakers pulled off a solid win against the Kings, 132-122, even without LeBron James. Anthony Davis was on fire, scoring 36 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. He really showed up when the team needed him.
Things were a bit chaotic for the Kings, especially after they fired their coach, Mike Brown. You could feel the tension in the air. The Lakers had already beaten them a couple of times recently, so you knew they were going to come out swinging.
Despite missing LeBron, the Lakers matched the Kings’ energy. Austin Reaves stepped up big time, scoring 26 points and dishing out a career-high 16 assists. It was impressive to see how well he ran the offense.
Rui Hachimura also contributed nicely, scoring 21 points on just 11 shots. The Lakers really needed that kind of hustle and grit on both ends of the court.
On the Kings’ side, De’Aaron Fox had a decent game with 29 points and 12 assists, but it just wasn’t enough. The Lakers led by as much as 20 points at one point, thanks to a dominant third quarter.
With the Lakers shooting nearly 60% from the field, it was a great night for them. Plus, they’re getting some reinforcements soon, with Jaxson Hayes set to return from injury. Things are looking up for the Lakers!
