London: So, Anne Robinson, the queen of sass, is back in the spotlight! She’s hosting a special charity edition of The Weakest Link, and guess who’s in the hot seat? Kay Burley from Sky News.
In a chat with the i, Anne was already gearing up to throw some playful shade at the contestants. She even mentioned Kay’s facelift, which is pretty bold! But when someone pointed out that Anne has had some work done too, she was refreshingly honest about it.
She said, “It wouldn’t be fair to other women of my age not to be honest.” I mean, who wants to look at themselves on TV and think, “Why does my mom look like that?”
Kay will be joined by some other familiar faces like Toyah Willcox and Tom Parker Bowles, plus Stanley Johnson, Boris’s dad. It’s going to be quite the lineup!
Anne also shared her thoughts on cosmetic surgery, comparing it to getting your ears pierced. If you’re okay with that, why not go for a little facelift, right?
She’s still getting questions about her £9,000 facelift from years ago. It’s wild how people are still curious about it! Anne even joked that she wished she’d waited a bit before showing off her new look on TV. She likened it to taking a leg of lamb out of the oven—you’ve got to let it rest!
Now, she’s on a mission to raise funds for Hatherop Primary School, aiming to replace those old, leaky classrooms with a proper building. Plus, she’s been hitting the Pilates hard to stay fit for the show.
After hosting a whopping 1,600 episodes of The Weakest Link from 2000 to 2012, Anne stepped back in 2011. But fans were thrilled when the show made a comeback in 2018 with Romesh Ranganathan at the helm.
