Belfast: So, Andrew Tate’s lawyer is saying that the posts about Sorcha Eastwood didn’t contain any real threats. They’re trying to downplay the situation.

Kevin Winters, who’s representing Eastwood, is gearing up for legal action against the Tate brothers. He’s not taking this lightly.

This all kicked off after Eastwood spoke in the House of Commons about being a survivor of abuse and mentioned receiving some pretty nasty threats.

Winters is adamant that they’re moving forward with a claim, despite what Tate’s lawyer says.

Tate’s lawyer, Andrew Ford, insists that no legal action has been officially started yet. He claims they just got a letter hinting at a potential claim.

Ford also mentioned that the tweets from his clients don’t pose any threats, just political commentary. It’s all a bit murky.

Winters, however, is pushing back hard, saying their letter was clear about the intent to file a claim. He’s not letting this slide.

He also pointed out that it’s concerning how Tate’s team is trying to make light of the offensive posts, calling them just political threats.

Eastwood shared her own experiences in the Commons, highlighting how dangerous it can be for women in Northern Ireland.

She recounted a chilling moment when someone approached her during a school visit and made a horrific comment about wanting to rape her.

Tate has had his fair share of trouble online, getting banned from several platforms for hate speech and misogynistic remarks. Yet, he still has a huge following on X.
