London, UK, Zhe Wang, Joshua Michals, Goldsmiths, Murder

London: A tragic incident unfolded when an American student allegedly killed his Chinese partner after she insisted he take an STI test. Zhe Wang, 31, was found dead in her flat last March, and Joshua Michals, 25, is now on trial for her murder.

According to the court, Michals left Wang in a pool of blood with stab wounds. He denies the charges, claiming it was a misunderstanding. The couple had been dating for a few months, and things took a dark turn when Wang noticed a rash after their intimate moments.

Wang had been pushing Michals to get tested, which led to tension between them. Prosecutors say that on the night of the incident, Michals called for help, saying there was a serious situation at her place. But he wasn’t even there when he made the call.

He told the operator it was a “knife incident” and that it was really bad. The court heard that he had left Wang for dead for hours before seeking help. Michals allegedly flew into a rage and attacked her, then tried to cover his tracks.

When police arrived, they found evidence of a struggle, including blood-stained clothes in his home. Wang was described as a gentle person who was studying for her MA and had dreams of becoming a teacher. The trial is ongoing, and it’s a heartbreaking case that has shocked many.
