American ‘hijab assassin’ to be charged over botched hit on British businessman

Birmingham: So, there’s this wild story about an American woman named Aimee Betro. She’s in some serious trouble for allegedly trying to kill a British businessman.

Apparently, she was hired by a rival and was supposed to take out Sikander Ali, who runs a clothing boutique. Betro, 44, even dressed in a hijab to try and pull it off. But things didn’t go as planned back in September 2019.

She tried to shoot Ali, but the gun jammed. Can you believe that? After that, she fired a few shots at his house but didn’t hit anyone. Then she just took off back to the States.

The police finally caught up with her in Armenia, and now she’s being charged with conspiracy to murder. The Crown Prosecution Service is making sure she faces the music in a UK court.

Her mom even made a public plea for her to turn herself in, saying she had nowhere to hide. It’s a crazy situation, and it all started over a grudge between families. Betro’s set to appear in court soon, so we’ll see how this unfolds.
