Cardiff: Exciting news for burger lovers! Carl’s Jr, the American burger chain, has picked Cardiff for its first UK spot. This iconic brand, which started back in 1941, is teaming up with Boparan Restaurant Group to make its mark in the UK and Ireland.
The new restaurant is set to open in April at St David’s Shopping Centre and will create around 40 jobs. It’ll have seating for 50 people, so there’s plenty of room for friends and family to enjoy a meal together.
David Moffat, the UK country manager for Carl’s Jr, shared his excitement about the opening. He mentioned that the brand is known for its high-quality, delicious food that really stands out in the burger scene.
He said, “We’re thrilled to bring this iconic brand to Cardiff. We’ve had incredible interest from fans eager to experience the Carl’s Jr difference, and we can’t wait to welcome them this April.”
Mr. Moffat also noted that the UK rollout will have a ‘West Coast vibe’ but tailored to British tastes. With over 4,000 restaurants worldwide, Carl’s Jr is ready to make a splash.
Boparan Restaurant Group, which operates several brands like Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Slim Chickens, is excited about this new venture. Carl’s Jr has a rich history, starting with Carl Karcher and his wife Margaret investing in a hot dog cart back in 1941 before opening their first restaurant in California.
They’re famous for their tasty menu items, including the Six Dollar Burger and Hand-Scooped Milkshakes. So, get ready, Cardiff! Delicious burgers are on the way!
