London: This weekend, all Southeastern trains are getting cancelled because of some major engineering work. It’s happening on Saturday and Sunday, January 18 and 19.

So, if you’re planning to travel, you’ll want to check the details. The work is mainly between London Charing Cross, Cannon Street, and New Cross, which means all lines will be closed.

No trains will be running to or from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East, or London Cannon Street. Plus, New Cross and St Johns will be shut down all weekend.

Most trains on these routes will be diverted to London Victoria instead. If you’re at London Bridge, expect a much-reduced service.

There will be two trains per hour going from London Bridge to Hastings via East Croydon or Redhill, and another two trains per hour to Dartford via Greenwich.

On Saturday, the Paddock Wood Line will see trains between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate or Dover Priory diverted to London Victoria.

For the Hastings Line, trains will run to and from London Bridge, skipping stops between London Bridge and Tonbridge.

Trains that usually go between London Charing Cross and Tunbridge Wells won’t be running at all.

As for the Maidstone East line, those trains will also be out of service, but you can catch trains from London Victoria to Ashford International via Maidstone East, though they’ll be retimed.

There will be a limited service of one train per hour between London and Maidstone East.

On the Bexleyheath Line, services between London Cannon Street and Slade Green, as well as those from London Charing Cross to Dartford via Bexleyheath, will be cancelled.

However, trains from London Victoria to Dartford via Bexleyheath will run as usual, with two trains per hour going from London to Barnehurst via Bexleyheath.

For the Woolwich Arsenal Line, trains between London Cannon Street and Dartford via Woolwich will not be running, but there will be extra trains between London Bridge and Dartford.

On the Grove Park Line, trains from London Charing Cross to Sevenoaks will be diverted to London Victoria, and services from London Cannon Street to Orpington will be cancelled.

Expect a reduced service of two trains per hour from London to Orpington via Grove Park.

On the Sidcup Line, trains from London Charing Cross to Gravesend will also be diverted to London Victoria, with two trains each hour running to Dartford via Sidcup.

For the Hayes Line, trains will run to and from London Victoria, with two trains each hour to Hayes.

Just a heads up, the last three trains of the day from London Victoria to Hayes will be diverted to Orpington, stopping at Beckenham Junction.

Passengers will need to switch at Beckenham Junction for a replacement bus to Hayes.

On Sunday, the same diversions and cancellations will apply, so keep that in mind if you’re traveling.

Replacement buses will also be running between Lewisham and Greenwich, stopping at St Johns and New Cross.
