Barry: So, the Gavin & Stacey crew wrapped up filming, and it was quite the ride! Smithy and Nessa finally spilled their feelings, but we still don’t know what went down on that fishing trip. Bummer, right?

Even though they say they won’t be back to Barry, they really made the most of their time there. The cast, including James Corden and Ruth Jones, spent weeks filming in the summer of 2024, and they were all about supporting local spots.

If you’re looking for some tasty places to eat, you might want to check out where they dined. They hit up some fantastic local joints while filming the last episode, and trust me, you’ll want to follow their lead!

First up, there’s Whocult, the doughnut place that’s taken south Wales by storm. They even surprised the cast with some sweet treats, and the crew was buzzing about it on Instagram!

Then there’s Purple Poppadom, an Indian restaurant that’s a big deal in the area. Rob Brydon shared some snaps from their meal there, and the restaurant was thrilled to host the cast. They’ve had some famous faces before, but this was a special moment!

Don’t forget about Front Room, a new pizzeria that James Corden popped into. He was so impressed with the pizza that he couldn’t help but chat with the owner about how it’s made. Larry Lamb also swung by for a slice!

Before filming kicked off, Melanie Walters was spotted at The Tynewydd Inn, taking selfies with fans. It’s always nice to see the stars being so friendly!

And of course, they couldn’t resist the fish and chips! Boofy’s, which is actually featured in the show, was a go-to spot for the cast. They even took some fun photos with the staff there.

Lastly, Turkish restaurant Usta and Mr Villa’s fish and chip shop were also on their list. The cast really made the rounds, enjoying the local flavors and connecting with fans.
