Kent’s Major Motorways Face Overnight Closures This Week
Drivers in Kent should prepare for multiple overnight road closures this week

Kent: This week, drivers are in for a bit of a hassle with several overnight closures on major roads. The county’s key routes like the M2, M20, and A20 will be affected due to repairs and maintenance.
There’s work happening at the Dartford Crossing, so expect some tunnel closures throughout the week. Plus, the QEII Bridge will have its second full overnight closure this month from Saturday to Sunday.
Over on the A249 near Sittingbourne, they’re working to improve the Grovehurst Road junction. Because of this, both the northbound exit and southbound entry slips are closed until Saturday.
On three nights this week, the M2 coastbound will be shut between Junction 5 and Junction 6 for bridge work. The closures will run from 8 PM to 6 AM, so plan accordingly.

On Monday, the A2 eastbound Honeywood Interchange entry slip will close from 8 PM to 5 AM for maintenance. The A2 westbound link to the M25 will also be closed for urgent repairs.
And it doesn’t stop there! The A21 will be shut in both directions for surface works, and the A282 northbound West Tunnel at Dartford will close for tunnel works.
Tuesday will see similar closures, with the A21 and A249 still affected. The M25 will also have some closures for urgent loop repairs and electrical work.
As the week goes on, expect more of the same. The A2, A21, and M20 will all have various closures for maintenance and repairs. It’s a busy week for roadworks!
